When you’re not feeling great, it can be hard to tell anyone, or ask for help, even if all you need is a chat or a hug. But there is ALWAYS someone who wants to listen.
I am not qualified to help my mate, so what do I talk about?
Helping a friend who is struggling doesn’t have to mean fixing their problems, you don’t have to be the expert. You can simply be the bridge between them struggling and them finding the right help and support.
How do I start the conversation when I can see my mate needs professional support?
The best way is to do so in the most normal and natural way for you and that friend. You don’t have to speak differently or go to an environment that is strange to you both.
